CIVIL ENGINEERING VACANCY POSITIONS

URGENT CIVIL ENGINEERING  VACANCIES/POSITIONS

Our client is a private consultancy firm with a 500km road construction contract from a northern Nigerian state and seeks to urgently fill the following positions:

1. Chief/ Resident Engineer with COREN Registration (Team Leader) - N500,000/month

a. BSc in Civil Engineering and at least 15 years of professional engineering experience, including at least 10 years on the supervision of road construction/rehabilitation works. 

b. Post Graduate qualification in Highway Engineering will be an advantage. 

c. The candidate shall have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the position of Team Leader and a 6 years’ experience as Resident Engineer with a proven record of managerial capability through the directing/managing of major road works, including projects of a similar nature (rural roads) and magnitude. 

d. S/He should have worked as Team Leader or Resident Engineer for minimum of at least 2 projects on works based on FIDIC conditions. 

e. S/He should also be familiar with Modern Total Stations Survey and Construction techniques. 

f. Communicating fluently in English Language is essential

2. Highway Engineer with COREN Registration -  N350,000/month

a. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with COREN registration. 

b. Post Graduate qualification in Highway Engineering will be an advantage. 

c. Minimum experience should be 10 years in Highway/Road Infrastructure construction. 

d. S/He must have experience in supervision of laterite roads.

3. Structural Engineer with COREN Registration - N350,000/month

a. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with COREN registration. 

b. A Post Graduate qualification in Structural Engineer will be an advantage. 

c. Minimum experience should be 10 years’ professional experience in design and construction of bridges, culverts and other concrete structures. 

d. The candidate should be capable of monitoring the contractor's bridge rehabilitation and repair works and determine the need for adjustment of the works specified in the contracts, and, as required, provide working drawings, specification details and instructions to the contractors for any bridge within the construction site for works. 

e. S/He must have been involved as a  Bridge/Structural Engineer on at least highway construction/rehabilitation projects. 

f. Communicating fluently in English is essential.

4. Environmental Specialist with NES Registration - N250,000/month

a. Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) with graduate studies (at least Masters degree or equivalent) in the environmental sciences field. b. Minimum experience of five (5) years as Environmental Specialists for infrastructure studies. c. Must have direct experience in the preparation and Implementation of Environmental Impact Assessment in at least 3 projects.

5. Senior Land Surveyor with SURCON Registration - N350,000/month

a. Bachelor degree in Land Surveying or relevant discipline. 

b. Minimum experience should be ten (10) years, with a minimum experience of five (5) years in the road projects. 

c. Communicating fluently in English is essential.

6. Quantity Surveyor  with SURCON Registration - N300,000/month

a. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline. 

b. Minimum experience should be eight (8) years, with specific experience in Building and Infrastructure Projects/Facilities Quantities. 

c. Experience in Sub Saharan Africa would be an advantage.

7. Senior Quality/Material Engineer with COREN Registration - N300,000/month

a. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline. 

b. Minimum experience should be eight (8) years, with specific experience in Building and Infrastructure Projects/ Facilities Quantities. 

c. Experience in Sub Saharan Africa would be an advantage.

This road project is for a 2-year period and  successful candidates will be on site throughout the tenure of the project with accommodation provided for them.
