ENTITLEMENT BLACKMAIL

Today, I encountered a man lamenting his struggles. “My younger brother is wealthy, but he refuses to help pay my children’s school fees,” he complained. Curious, I asked, “How many children does your brother have?” He replied, “Three.” I paused, then inquired, “And how many do you have?” His answer: “Nine.”

Herein lies the irony: his younger brother, with ample resources, is responsibly raising three children. Meanwhile, he despite lacking the means has nine children to support.

This is a glaring example of the “entitlement blackmail”  some individuals employ. After carelessly compounding their own hardships through reckless family planning or poor financial choices they guilt-trip others to shoulder the consequences. It is unjust to weaponize poverty, especially when it is self-inflicted, to demand aid from those who prioritized prudence.

Until the moment when will shall dance in white Greater Grace.
