SUPERNATURAL GRACE

Two Moments That Revealed a Spiritual Power Greater in my Life.
One night around 1 a.m., I was jolted awake by an inexplicable force. Though I hadn’t been dreaming or overthinking, my entire body trembled with terror. It felt as though my life was being drained away a sensation far beyond sleep paralysis. I couldn’t pray aloud, but inwardly I repeated the song, “I am covered by the blood of Jesus.” As I silently sang this hymn, the fear intensified. My body burned as if on fire, and I felt unseen creatures devouring my flesh. Yet I kept singing until 5 a.m., when my uncle knocked on my door.

He said my parents, living in Niger State at the time, had urgently called. To my shock, they explained they’d been awakened at 1 a.m. by an overwhelming urge to pray for my safety. They’d spent hours interceding, sensing I was in danger. I hadn’t told them I’d been awake battling the same terror. After their call, by 7am same day, I collapsed into sickness for days, sustained only by my parent and uncle’s prayers.

To this day, I cannot explain how we awoke simultaneously across distances, united in spiritual warfare. A higher power intervened one greater than any human force.

Years later, while planning to visit my fiancée’s family home town in Edo North, my younger sister called from school in panic. Though I’d told no one about the journey but our parents on the trip, she’d had a vivid revelation that night by 2am. “You’ll die in a highway accident tomorrow.” Chilled, I called my wife to be and canceled our Friday travel plans, told her to meet me at home by morning. My fiancée and I spent the day fasting and praying. My mother, as always, anchored in prayers.

We rescheduled for Saturday. Upon arriving her hometown, as I stepped out of the car and my leg step on the ground, the expensive foreign wines I’d bought at Pack ‘n’ Shop slipped from my bag and shattered. A cold breeze swept past, and a voice whispered, “Those wines replaced your blood.” I turned around but nobody was talking to me, my fiancée heard nothing, just me. I trembled with awe. We replaced the wines with local ones, grateful for divine protection.

This year, we celebrate seven years of marriage, guided by God’s enduring presence.

The Unseen Realm Is Real.
These events taught me that spiritual forces shape our lives profoundly. What we cannot see, we must entrust to the One who reigns over it. God’s altar His power is our refuge.

Someday, I’ll share my heavenly encounter, though its intensity still haunts. For now, I live in gratitude. God’s hand keeps us alive, and His mysteries remind us. We are never alone.

Until the moment when will shall dance in white Greater Grace.
