THE GIFT OF CHILDREN
Children are a precious gift. It is the duty of parents to invest all possible resources educational, moral, and emotional into nurturing them. A child who is raised with care, discipline, and guidance will grow into an adult capable of supporting their parents in old age, when strength fades and dependence grows. Merely giving birth is not the true gift; the real legacy lies in equipping children with education, values, and financial independence.
Tragically, many parents abandon their children, leaving them to navigate life without support. These children often face immense hardships: hunger, abuse, exposure to immorality and crime, and the scars of societal neglect. Yet, some parents reappear decades later, in their twilight years, attempting to guilt-trip their children with sentiments like, “If not for me, you wouldn’t exist.” This hypocrisy ignores the lifelong responsibility of parenthood.
Your children need your love more than your pursuit of fleeting pleasures alcohol, vanity, or social validation.
Be present as they grow, for one day, as age weakens you, you will rely on the bond you built with them. Nurture them today, and they will honor you tomorrow.
Until the moment when will shall dance in white Greater Grace.
