USE YOUR PRIVILEGE TO RESPECT OTHERS
Never view others as lesser because of your own privilege. When people serve you, recognize their inherent dignity and treat them with the respect you'd show anyone.
Privilege can blind us to the shared humanity of others. Resist the urge to see those with fewer advantages as destitute or defined by their circumstances. Instead, cultivate deep respect. When someone serves you whether in a restaurant, shop, or any role, honor them. Acknowledge their effort, value their contribution, and treat them with the fundamental dignity and courtesy every person deserves.
Your privileged position doesn't make others destitute in worth or dignity. Challenge any unconscious bias that suggests otherwise. Make it a practice when people serve you, actively honor them. This means offering genuine thanks, making eye contact, using their name if appropriate, respecting their time, and treating them not as servants, but as valuable individuals performing essential work.
Until the moment when will shall dance in white Greater Grace.
