KICKSTART YOUR JANUARY
After the festive holiday enjoyment, kickstart your January with positive movement.
You can begin right in your living room with some basic exercises, and then move around your immediate surroundings to get your blood flowing.
Trekking (brisk walking) is another powerful and accessible form of exercise. For any journey that is about a kilometer, if you’re not in a hurry, try to take a good walk instead.
Don’t mind anyone who sees you walking and makes a comment with a dry smile, suggesting you can't afford transport. Just smile back and think to yourself, "Let's see who is healthier in our 60s."
One of the best forms of meditation you can have is a good, long walk. It clears your mind, boosts your cardiovascular health, strengthens your legs and bones, and burns calories efficiently.
Remember, your body is like a finely engineered machine; it needs regular activity to function optimally. If you park it and leave it idle, it will eventually break down. Keep it moving.
